I Finally Cut My Hair…

… and you can’t tell.  That is how ridiculously long my hair had gotten.  I guess that’s what happens when you neglect to cut it for nearly 2 years.

What can I say, I’m a low maintenance girl.  I don’t color my hair, I rarely dry my hair completely and I usually just pull it back into a bun or ponytail.

However, when I started to see tumbleweeds of hair on a daily basis, I realized I needed to cut it.

I made an appointment Friday and asked to have 4-5 inches taken off.  That is pretty substantial… and as the stylist was cutting my hair, I asked if she was cutting off at least 4 inches.  She said she was and pointed to the ground to prove it.  And yet… my hair looks the same (just a wee bit healthier):

Hahaa! Too funny…and you’re making a face in the 1st picture that makes me laugh.

You don’t like my sassy face? 🙂

  2. Wow you’re pretty good at photographing the back of your head. I can never quite get that down.

Thanks! But what you don’t know is that it took me several shots to finally get that angle correct.

Love the photos… 🙂 I had no idea your hair had gotten so long.

I have a standing appointment to get mine cut every 8 weeks. Now that I’ve stopped coloring it I have to keep the cut up or it looks so blah and boring if it gets too overgrown!

Every 8 weeks? I’m impressed that you keep it up. I should probably try to work on my look a little more but I’m waaaaay to lazy for that. 🙂

  4. I am the same way with getting my hair cut. Three times a year may be a stretch. This makes me realize how much I need to go.

I saw on twitter you are doing the charm city fitness boot camp. Have always been interested in that! I did some personal training there a few years ago and had great results.

I LOVED the Bootcamp! I did it 2 years ago. I went last night for “bring a friend” day and remembered how tough it was.

  5. Since I was looking for it, I could tell a difference; it looks healthier and shinier. That being said, I can’t believe you go so long between haircuts! Not only am I a sucker for the pampering, (no matter how weirded out I get,) but also my hair starts to piss me off about once every 6 weeks. If only it were long and shiny and pretty like yours!

I love getting pampered… but there is something about the maintenance of hair cuts that I loathe.
